简介：1,209earthquakesoccurredinXianyou,FujianfromAugust4,2010toOctober4,2013.ThelargestearthquakewasML5.0onSeptember4,2013.InordertostudytheXianyouearthquakesequenceandunderstandthecausativestructureandstressfieldofXianyou,thefocalmechanismsolutionsofsixearthquakes(ML>3.5)intheXianyouearthquakesequencearecalculatedusingthebroadbanddigitaldataoftheFujianSeismicNetworkwiththeseismicmomenttensorinversemethod.Theresultsshowthatthefocalfaultsofthesixearthquakesaresimilar,whichareallstrike-slipfaultsstrikingtothenorthwestwithhighdipangles.ThedirectionoftheprincipalcompressivestressaxesisnearSN,whichisdifferentfromthestressfieldofFujianregion.TheXianyouearthquakesequencemayhavebeeninducedbythestressadjustmentaftertheimpoundmentofJinzhongreservoir.

简介：TwelvespeciesofcrustaceanfromFujiancoastwereexaminedforlectinswithdifferentanimalerythrocytes.Serumextractsfromallof12speciesshowedagglutinatingactivityagainstatleasttwotypesoftheerythrocytesused,whichrevealedtheexistenceoflectinsinthesespecies.Therewerefivespecies(Penaeusjaponicus,Lophosquillacostata,Charybdisferiatus,Portunuspelagicus,Scyllaserrata)whoseserumscouldagglutinatealltheerythrocytestested.Thelowestserumproteinconcentrationrequiredtoproduceerythrocytesagglutinationvariedremarkably,rangingfrom0.7μg/mLto8080μg/mL.ThestrongestactivitywasshownintheagglutinationofrabbiterythrocytebyserumofPenaeusvanaminas.Inhibitionassaysperformedwithsevenmono-andbisaccharidesshowedthatagglutinationofquailerythrocytesbyserumsofthreespecies(Portunuspelagicus,ScyllaserrataandSesarmasp.)werenotinhibitedbyanysugars,whileotherswereinhibitedbyatleastthreetypesofsugars.TheassayoftemperatureinfluenceonagglutinatingactivityshowedthatonlyPenaeusjaponicusretainedactivitywhentheserumwasheatedto90℃,andotherserumslosttheiractivityat40℃,50℃,60℃,70℃,80℃for10minutes,respectively.

简介：OutgoingLongwaveRadiation(OLR)hasbeenshowntoplayanimportantroleinclimaticdiagnosisandlong-termpredictionandresearch.WiththeOLRdata1974~1997asobservedbysatellites,thecharacteristicsarecomputed.TheresultsareusedtodepictthelocationandintensityofthesubtropicalhighinthestudyoftherelationshipbetweentheannualfrequencyoftropicalcyclonesaffectingtheFujianprovinceandITCZ/subtropicalhigh.Itisshownthatinyearsoffewer(more)tropicalcyclones,theITCZissouthward(northward)locatedwithweaker(stronger)intensity,andthesubtropicalhighissouthward(northward).AsshownintherelationshipbetweentheanomalousyearsoftropicalcyclonesandcharacteristicsofprecedingOLRfields,theOLRanomaliesarejustoppositelydistributedinthePacificOceanforyearsofmore(fewer)tropicalcyclones.Inotherwords,theyearsoffewer(more)tropicalcyclonesareassociatedwithpositiveanomaliesofOLRinthetropicalwestPacificbutnegative(positive)anomaliesintheequatorialcentralandeasternPacific.Itishopedthatourstudybesettingfoundationforshort-termclimatologicalpredictionoftropicalcyclones.
