ThecrystallographicpropertiesandRamanspectraofthetitlecompoundZnCd(SCN)4,whichisanewnonlinearopticalcrystal(NLO),arereportedforthefirsttime,ThiscrystalisorthorhombicanditsspacegroupisI4^4withunitcellparametersa=1.135(0.2)nmc=0.43760(1)nm.Therearetwoformulasperunitcell.Ramanspectraofzinccadmiumthiocyanatec(ZCTC)aregivenandtheelectronactivitiesinthecrystalareshown.
