简介:ThispaperreportsastudyofcomplexfocussingacousticfieldsofaconvexphasedarrayprobewidelyusedinultrasonicdiagnosticB-scanner.Thetimedelaynecessaryforelectronicfocussingandforgeometricfocussingofcomplexfocussingisgiven.BymeansofHelmholtz‘sintegralformula,theexpressionsofacousticfieldswereobtainedfortheelectronicfocussingandcomplexfocussing.Withsimpson‘snumericalintegral,agreatdealofcomputationswascarriedoutwithan86/330computer.Bymeansofusingdifferentparameters,anoptimumfocalrangeandbeamwidthofa4sequenceselectronicandcomplexfocussingacousticsystemwasselected.WithanEUB-40ultrasounddiagnosticB-scannerproducedbytheHitachicompany,thelateralfocussingacousticfieldandlateralresolutioninanechoictankwerephotographedbylatticingmethodandtheexperimentalresultiscon-sistentwiththetheory.
