Combustionreactionwelding,onepromisingmethodtoweldceramicsandmetals,wasusedtoweldTiB2andMo.TheresultsshowedthatthereactedproductsthroughcombustionreactionwereTiB2andMoBwhentheMocontentsinreactantswere20wtpctand40wtpctwhiletherewasMobesidesMoBandTiB2whentherewere60wtpctand80wtpctMoinreactants.Diffusionofelementsoccurredattheinterfacesofthetwosubstrates.Theinterfacesbetweenthereactedandthetwosubstrateswereindistinctafterbeingwelded.Theweldingtemperaturestronglyaffectedpropertiesofthesamples.Thevalueofbendingstrengthofthesamplewith80wtpctMoinreactantweldedat1500℃wasthehighest,368.52MPa.Thehighestvalueofshearstrengthamongallthesampleswasthatoftheonewith40wtpctMoinreactantweldedat1500℃,50.97MPa.
