Theliberationofwomenisthehistoricalprocessinwhichwomenhavestrivenforgenderequality,freedomfromoppression,confinementanddiscrimination,andarebecomingthemastersofthesocietyandtheirowndestinies.Accordingtothepersityinhistoryandthestate,theprocesscanbepidedintoaserialofcorrelatedphases,witheachphasefocusingondifferentissues.SexismorderinChinahadremainedstableinthetraditionalsocietyforcenturiesthroughasetofinstitutions.Womenhadbelievedinasexualorderandtherulesofpropriety,whichadvocatedthatmenweresuperiortowomen.AfterthePeople’sRepublicofChinawasfoundedin1949,women’srightsinpolitics,economy,society,andevenfamilywererecognizedandsecuredbytheConstitutionandlawsjustasmen’sduringashortperiod.Women’sliberationinChinahasmadeasignificantprogress.
