Weperformmicromagneticsimulationsontheswitchingofmagneticvortexcorebyusingspin-polarizedcurrentsthroughathree-nanocontactgeometry.Oursimulationresultsshowthatthecurrentcombinationwithanappropriatecurrentflowdirectiondestroysthesymmetryofthetotaleffectiveenergyofthesystemsothatthevortexcorecanbeeasiertoexcite,resultinginlesscriticalcurrentdensityandafasterswitchingprocess.Besidesitsfundamentalsignificance,ourfindingsprovideanadditionalroutetoincorporatingmagneticvortexphenomenaintodatastoragedevices.
