ThisarticleverifiedthattheTustatementionedintheoracleinscriptionswastheXiapeopleaftertheXiaDynastyhadbeenconqueredbyTang,thefirstkingoftheShangDynastymc.a.16thcenturyB.C.ThestateofXia,whichoriginatedfromYu,wasentitled"XiaHou";itskingwashencecalled"XiaHouDi"(EmperorofXiaHou),e.g."XiaHouDiQi".TheXiapeople,togetherwiththeYin(Shang)people,andtheZhoupeople,weretheso-called"peopleofSanDai"(ThreeDynasties).Asmentionedin"Lunyu,Bayi",theyfoundedthestates,withtheXiapeoplebeingassociatedwiththepine,theYinpeoplewiththecypress,andtheZhoupeoplewiththechestnut.
