Westudytheconsistencyconditionsofthegeneralizedf(R)gravitybyextendingf(R)gravitywithnon-minimalcouplingtothegeneralizedf(R)witharbitrarygeometry-mattercoupling.Specifically,wediscussthetwoparticularmodelsofgeneralizedf(R)bymeansofconsistencyconditions.Itisfoundthatthesecondmodelisnotphysicallyviablesoastoberuledout.Moreover,wefurtherconstrainthefirstmodelusingtheDolgovKawasakistabilitycriterion,andgivethevaluerangesoftheparametersinthefirstmodel.Itisworthstressingthatourresultsincludetheonesinf(R)gravitywithnon-minimalcouplingasthespecialcaseofQ(L_m)=L_m.
