Synthesis,structureandmagneticpropertiesofRudopedperovskitestructuredmanganiteLa0.5Sr0.5MnO3wereinvestigatedexperimentally.Ahydrothermalmethodwasusedforthepreparationofthesamples.Ahigh-temperatureannealingprocesswasalsoemployedtomakeacomparison.AslightlyenhancementoftheunitcellvolumewasobservedwiththeincreaseofRuconcentration.Scanningelectronmicroscopyshowsthatthematerialsaremadeupofcube-shapedparticleswithdimensionofseveralmicrometers.Importantly,itisfoundthatboththeCurietemperatureTCandsaturationmomentcanbereducedbyRudoping.ThevalueofcoercivefieldisnotaffectedbytheintroductionofRu.
