摘要
TheRichtmyer–Meshkovinstabilityofa‘V'shapedair/heliumgaseousinterfacesubjectedtoaweakshockwaveisexperimentallystudied.Asoapfilmtechniqueisadoptedtocreatea‘V'shapedinterfacewithaccurateinitialconditions.Fivekindsof‘V'shapedinterfaceswithdifferentvertexanglesareformedtohighlighttheeffectsofinitialconditionsontheflowcharacteristics.Theresultsshowthataspikeisgeneratedaftertheshockimpact,andgrowsconstantlywithtime.Asthevertexangleincreases,vorticesgeneratedontheinterfacebecomelessnoticeable,andthespikedevelopslesspronouncedly.Thelineargrowthrateofinterfacewidthaftercompressionphaseisestimatedbyalinearmodelandarevisedlinearmodel,andthelatterisproventobemoreeffectivefortheinterfacewithhighinitialamplitudes.Thelineargrowthrateofinterfacewidthis,forthefirsttimeinaheavy/lightinterfaceconfiguration,foundtobeanon-monotonousfunctionoftheinitialperturbationamplitude–wavelengthratio.
