简介:Anewlydevelopedcoaxialdielectricbarrierdischargereactorwithalengthof1000mmatanatmosphericpressurewasusedforplasmatreatmentofpolyesterfibercordinaroll-to-rollmanner.Inthisreactor,swirlingmixturegasesofoxygenofabout1%andargonwithaflowrateof1.5L/minto2.7L/minensuredthegasusagesparing,dischargeuniformityandefficientfibersurfacemodification.Thewatercontactangleandsurfacemorphologyofthetreatedfiberweremeasured.Theresultsshowthatthesurfaceoxygenationismainlyresponsibleforthewettabilityimprovementofthefibercordwhenpassingthroughtheplasmazoneatalinearspeedof3m/minto8m/min.Thespecimensofmodified-polyesterfiberreinforcedrubbercompositewerealsopreparedfortheinterfacialshearstrengthtests.Furthermore,theeffectofaddingoxygenintoargondischargeonthefibersurfaceoxidationwascorrelatedwithopticalemissionspectroscopy.Finally,theeffectofaddingoxygenintoargondischargeonthekineticprocessesoftheactivespeciesgenerationwerealsoanalyzed.
