GENERAL SOLUTION OF THE OVERALL BENDING OF FLEXIBLE CIRCULAR RING SHELLS WITH MODERATELY SLENDER RATIO AND APPLICATIONS TO THE BELLOWS ( Ⅲ )- CALCULATION FOR C-SHAPED BELLOWS

ThisisoneoftheapplicationsofPart(Ⅰ),inwhichtheangularstiffness,thelateralstiffnessandthecorrespondingstressdistributionsofC-shapedbellowswerecalculated.Thebellowswaspidedintoprotrudingsectionsandconcavesectionsfortheuseofthegeneralsolution(Ⅰ),butthecontinuityofthestressresultantsandthedeformationsateachjointofthesectionswereentirelysatisfied.Thepresentresultswerecomparedwiththoseoftheothertheoriesandexperiments,andarealsotestedbythenumericallyintegralmethod.Itisshownthatthegoverningequationandthegeneralsolution(I)areveryeffective.
