Byusing304recombinantinbredlinesderivedfromindicaricecrossZhong156/Gumei2,alinkagemapconsistingof177markerlociandcovering12ricechromosomeswasconstructedandemployedformappinggenesconferringblastresistanceinrice.GenomiclocationofgenePi25(t)conferringneckblastresistancetotheChineseisolate92-183(raceZC15)wasverifiedtobelocatedbetweenmarkersA7andRG456onchromosome6,withgeneticdistancesof1.7cMand1.5cMtoA7andRG456,respectively.LeafblastresistanceofGumei2tothePhilippineisolateCa89(lineage4)wasfoundtobecontrolledbyasinglegene.ThegenetentativelydesignatedasPi26(t)waslocatedbetweenmakersB10andR674onchromosome6,withgeneticdistancesof5.7cMand25.8cMtoB10andR674respectively.ResistantallelesatbothgenelociwerederivedfromGumei2,indicatinganexistenceofresistancegeneclusterinGumei2.
