Surficial Sedimentary Diatoms in Okinawa Trough and Its Response to Kuroshio Current

Thispaperdescribestherelativecontentsofdominantdiatomspeciesandthedistributivecharacteristicsoftropicalpelagicspeciesanddiatomassemblages,andalsodiscussestherelationsbetweentherelativecontentoftropicalpelagicspeciesandKuroshioCurrentandbetweenthedistributionofdiatomassemblagesandmaterialsources.Theresultsshowthatthelimitof＞20%relativecontentoftropicalpelagicspeciesisbasicallyconsistentwiththedemarcationofKuroshioCurrent,andthatthedistributionsofdominantdiatomspeciesanddiatomassemblagesreservetherecordsoftheircloserrelationstomaterialsources.
