  • 简介:Objective:ThisstudyestimatesthenumbersofnewcancercasesandcancerdeathsinHebeiprovinceusingincidenceandmortalitydatafrom9population-basedcancerregistriesin2012.Methods:Thedataofnewdiagnosedcancercasesandcancerdeathsin2012werecollectedfrom9population-basedcancerregistriesofHebeiprovincein2015.AllthedatamettheNationalCentralCancerRegistryofChina(NCCR)criteriaofdataquality.Thepooleddataanalysiswasstratifiedbyareas(urban/rural),gender,agegroup(0,1-4,5-9,10-14,…,85+)andcancertype.NewcancercasesanddeathsinHebeiprovincewereestimatedusingage-specificratesandcorrespondingprovincialpopulationin2012.The10mostcommoncancersindifferentgroupsandthecumulativerateswerecalculated.Chinesepopulationcensusin2000andSegi'spopulationwereusedforage-standardizedincidence/mortalityrates.Results:Allcancerregistriescovered4,986,847populations,6.84%ofHebeiprovincialpopulation(2,098,547inurbanand2,888,300inruralareas).Thepercentageofcasesmorphologicallyverified(MV%)anddeathcertificate-onlycases(DCO%)were76.40%and4.72%,respectively.Themortalitytoincidencerateratio(M/I)was0.64.In2012,itisestimatedthattherewereabout187,900newdiagnosedcancercasesand119,800cancerdeathsinHebeiprovince.Theincidencerateofcancerwas258.12/100,000(275.75/100,000inmales,239.78/100,000infemales),andtheage-standardizedincidenceratesbyChinesestandardpopulation(ASIRC)andbyworldstandardpopulation(ASIRW)were210.65/100,000and208.50/100,000,withthecumulativeincidencerates(0-74yearsold)of24.46%.ThecancerincidenceandASIRCwere256.99/100,000and211.32/100,000inurbanareasand258.94/100,000and209.99/100,000inruralareas,respectively.Thecancermortalityratewas164.63/100,000(201.85/100,000inmales,125.92/100,000infemales).AgestandardizedmortalityratesbyChinesestandardpopulation(ASMRC)andbyworldstandardpopulation(ASMRW)w

  • 简介:Foralongtime,aquantitativecalculationofenergyradiatedbyseismicwaveshasbeenanimportantprobleminthebasicstudyofseismology.Uptonowthewell-knownrelationshipoflgE=l.5MS+11.8createdbyGutenbergandRichter(1956)hasstillbeenabetterexperientialstatisticalrelationforestimatingtheenergyofseismicwaves.Sincethecreationofseismicdislocationmodelinthe1960s,seismologistshavestudiedaquantitativecalculationofenergyradiatedbyseismicwaves.Forexample,Haskell(1964),VassilionandKanamori(1982),CHENandDuda(1993b)haveacquiredmanycreativeresults.Especiallysincethe1980s,digitalseismometerswithlargedynamicrange,widebandandhighprecisionusedinseismicmonitoringandusageofprocessingtechnologyofdigitalcomputerhavegreatlyexploitedthestudyfieldofmoderndigitalseismology.OnthebasisofseismicdislocationmodeldevelopedbyBrune(1970),anewseismicwaveradiatedenergyrelationdependedonseismicmoment,ambientstress(0andpeakgroundmovementhasbeenestablished.DataobservedbymobiledigitalseismometerintheYao(anM=6.5earthquakeonJanuary15,2000anditsaftershocksequenceareusedtoestimateseismicradiatedenergy.Furthermore,wealsodiscusstheambientstress(0andcharacteristicsofenergyattenuationfortheaftershocksequence.

  • 简介:EstimatedGreen'sfunction(EGF)betweenstationshasbeenextractedfromambientseismicnoise,directsurfacewaveandcodawaves.Itisalsoconfirmedbylaboratoryexperimentsonultrasonicsandtheoreticalderivationsassumingdiffusivewavefield,equi-partitionofmodesorrandomsourcesonanenclosedsurface.Thismethodprovidesanewapproachtostudythecrustandmantlestructureatregionalscale,continentalscaleandglobalscale.Followingtheachievementswithseismometerrecords,therecordsofinfrasonicstation,hydrophoneandmicrophonewerealsousedtoobtaintheEGFsofdifferentwavefields.Sincesuperconductinggravimeterisabetterlongperiodinstrumentthanregularseismometer,EGFatlongerperiodisexpectedtobeobtainedwiththecrosscorrelationofgravitydata.Inthispaper,wewillshowtheEGFsextractedbycross-correlationsbetweenthesuperconductinggravimetersandtheseismometers.Boththetraveltimesanddispersioncurvesobtainedfromdifferentdatatypesareconsistent.Theresultshowsthatitispossibletoretrievethedeepstructurebythecrosscorrelationofgravitydata.

  • 简介:AbstractBackground:Early body composition changes, associated with physical inactivity and disease advancement are devastating for patient-related outcomes in predialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD), thus warranting a detailed analysis of body composition beyond conventional measures.Methods:The study included 40 subjects diagnosed with CKD; recruited between January to May 2021. Body composition was measured using the multifrequency analyzer, InBody 770. International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form was used to assess physical activity. Suitable statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 21.0.Results:The mean age of the subjects was 58.68 ± 12.24 years. Sarcopenic obesity was prevalent in 62.5% of the subjects. Body mass index under identified obesity by 15% compared to percent body fat, especially in subjects with low muscle mass. The decline in a unit of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) significantly correlated with a decrease in weight (p = 0.02), body fat mass (p = 0.05), visceral fat area (p = 0.05), and phase angle (p = 0.01) with marginal changes in waist–hip ratio and extracellular water/total body water. The effect of physical activity on skeletal muscle mass was homogeneous between low and moderate levels, but significantly different from high activity level.Conclusion:Changes in fat and fluid compartment were associated with eGFR decline, whereas higher physical activity positively affected body composition.

  • 简介:AbstractBackground:Soil-transmitted helminthiases (STH) are part of the group of neglected tropical diseases traditionally treated with preventive chemotherapy interventions. In recent years, drug donations have been essential to expanding preventive chemotherapy and achieving progressive control of morbidity from STH. This study aims to evaluate the need for anthelminthic medicines during 2020–2030.Methods:To estimate the need for anthelminthic medicines, we considered three different scenarios: (1) the control programmes continues to expand coverage and maintains the frequency of drug administration established at baseline; (2) the programmes continues to expand coverage but adapts the frequency of drug administration when the STH prevalence is reduced and (3) the STH programme becomes self-sustainable in some endemic countries.Results:We estimate that the number of anthelmintic medicines needed to treat school-aged children will increase by 40% by 2025 and by 52% by 2030 if countries do not change the frequency of preventive chemotherapy (scenario 1); that the number of tablets needed will reduce by 32.4% by 2025 and by 49.1% in 2030 if endemic countries reduce the frequency of preventive chemotherapy (scenario 2); and drug donations could be reduced by 54.4% by 2025 and 74.4% by 2030 if some endemic countries could become independent in drug procurement (scenario 3).Conclusions:The number of anthelmintic medicines needed to achieve elimination of morbidity due to STH in school-aged children will decline during 2020–2030. The decline will be substantial if a number of "upper-middle income" countries in which STH are endemic procure, as expected, anthelminthic medicines independently.

  • 简介:Soilmicrobialbiomassandcommunitystructuresarecommonlyusedasindicatorsforsoilqualityandfertility.Ainvestigationwasperformedtostudytheeffectsoflong-termnaturalrestoration,cropping,andbarefallowmanagementsonthesoilmicrobialbiomassandbacterialcommunitystructuresindepthsof0–10,20–30,and40–50cminablacksoil(Mollisol).Microbialbiomasswasestimatedfromchloroformfumigation-extraction,andbacterialcommunitystructuresweredeterminedbyanalysisof16SrDNAusingpolymerasechainreaction-denaturinggradientgelelectrophoresis(PCR-DGGE).Experimentalresultsshowedthatmicrobialbiomasssignificantlydeclinedwithsoildepthinthemanagementsofrestorationandcropping,butnotinthebarefallow.DGGEprofilesindicatedthatthebandnumberintop0–10cmsoilswaslessthanthatindepthof20–30or40–50cm.Thesesuggestedthatthemicrobialpopulationwashighbutthebacterialcommunitystructurewassimpleinthetopsoil.ClusterandprinciplecomponentanalysisbasedonDGGEbandingpatternsshowedthatthebacterialcommunitystructurewasa?ectedbysoildepthmoreprimarilythanbymanagements,andthesuccessionofbacterialcommunityasincreaseofsoildepthhasasimilartendencyinthethreemanagements.FourteenpredominatingDGGEbandswereexcisedandsequenced,inwhich6bandswereidentifiedasthetaxaofVerrucomicrobia,2bandsasActinobacteria,2bandsasα-Proteobacteria,andtheother4bandsasδ-Proteobacteria,Acidobacteria,Nitrospira,andunclassifiedbacteria.Inaddition,thesequencesof11DGGEbandswerecloselyrelatedtounculturedbacteria.Thus,thebacterialcommunitystructureinblacksoilwasstable,andthepredominatingbacterialgroupswereuncultured.

  • 简介:AbstractBackground:Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) remains a serious health threat worldwide. We aimed to investigate whether low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) can promote organ function recovery in moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients.Methods:We initiated an LMWH protocol in Covid-19 patients with increased D-dimer, body mass index >30 kg/m2 or a history of diabetes from January 18, 2020 at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center. In this retrospective study, we assigned moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients admitted between January 18th and April 18, 2020 receiving the LMWH protocol to the LMWH group. Moderate patients who met the inclusion criteria but did not receive LMWH protocol were included in the control group by 1:2 propensity score matching. General clinical information, indicators for renal function, arterial blood gas analyses, arterial blood lactic acid content (mmol/L), and coagulation indexes at 0 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 11 days after admission were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results:There were 41 patients in the LMWH group and 82 patients in the control group. General information in both groups were similar. Compared to the control group, the arterial blood lactic acid content (mmol/L) at day 11 (1.3 [1.1, 1.7] vs. 1.2 [0.9, 1.3], P = 0.016) was reduced in the LMWH group. The estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in the LMWH group was higher than that in the control group at day 7 (108.54 [89.11, 128.17] vs. 116.85 [103.39, 133.47], P= 0.039) and day 11 (113.74 [94.49, 126.34] vs. 128.31 [112.75, 144.12], P = 0.003). The serum creatinine levels (Scr) in the LMWH group were lower than that in the control group at day 7 (62.13 [51.47, 77.64] vs. 55.49 [49.50, 65.75], P= 0.038) and day 11 (63.35 [50.17, 75.73] vs. 51.62 [44.62, 61.24], P = 0.005).Conclusions:LMWH treatment can reduce arterial blood lactic acid levels and improve eGFR in moderate Covid-19 pneumonia patients. Randomized controlled trials are warranted to further investigate this issue.Trial registration:ChiCTR.org.cn, ChiCTR2000034796.
