简介:Inthispaper,astudyoftheprincipalcharacteristicsofthegrounddeformationdisastersinthecityofTianjincausedbytheTangshanearthquakeisbasedontheresultsfromtherecentremeasurementsofthegeodeticcontrollingnetworkofTianjinandfromon-siteinvestigationsaftertheearthquake.TheseresultsshowthatonlythegrounddeformationintheNingheandHanguareasneartheepicenterreflectdirectlytheco-seismiccrustalstress,whiletheseriousgrounddeformationandtheengineeringearthquakedamagesintheurbandistrictsofTianjinarecontrolledtoagreatextentbythelocalengineeringgeologicalstructures,showingakindofsecondarydisaster.Severalsuggestionsarealsoproposedinthepaperconcerningthecounter-measuresforreducingtheearthquakedamageinbigcities.
简介:Accordingtotheresultsofestimationofthemaximumpotentialearthquakeintheprojectof"TheActiveFaultDetectionandSeismicRiskEvaluation(PhaseII)ofZhengzhouCity",theneareast-westtrendingLaoyachenfaultandShangjiefaultaredevelopedintheurbanarea.TheLaoyachenfaultwasnotactiveintheQuaternary,buttheShangjiefaultmayhavethepotentialofgeneratingM5.0~5.5earthquakes.Inordertogettheprobabilityofoccurrenceofmaximumpotentialearthquakes,wedelineatethestatisticalareasandthepotentialsourceareasandcalculatetheseismicityparametersandthespacedistributionfunctions.OurstudyshowsthattheprobabilityofoccurrenceofanearthquakewithM≥5.0onthefaultsinZhengzhoucityis6%inthenext50yearsand11%inthenext100years.
