简介：Physicalliteracy(PL),asembodiedwithinphysicaleducation(PE),hasbeenvauntedashavingincreasingimportanceasadispositionforstudentsofallabilitiestoestablishlifelongadherencetophysicalactivity.Thepurposeofthispaperwastoprovideadiscussionofhowthepedagogicalfeaturesofacontemporarypedagogicalmodel,SportEducation(SE),maybeusedtooperationalizePLinPEandwhatempiricalevidencecurrentlyexiststovalidatethisclaim.SubstantialempiricalevidenceexiststhattheattributesassociatedwiththedevelopmentofPL(Whitehead,2010)canbeoperationalizedinPEwiththeeffectiveimplementationofthemodel.SEhasdistinctpedagogicalfeatureswhichpositivelycontributetomanyofthedimensionsofPLandcanfurtheranindividuals'journeytowardsgreaterPLandhavinganembodiedselfwithinPE.Thatstated,thereremainsconcernthatthecontextforthisembodimentremainstoonarrowtobeviewedasapanaceaforthedevelopmentoflifelongphysicalactivity.SEmustbedevelopedasaconnectivespecialismifthesePLattributesaretotransformthemotivationandconfidenceforindividualstocapitalizeontheirinnatephysicalpotentialandmakeamoresignificantcontributiontothequalityoflife.Copyrightó2015,ShanghaiUniversityofSport.ProductionandhostingbyElsevierB.V.Allrightsreserved.
