Kinetic Modelling of the Removal of Seven Common Pollutants in Subsurface Flow Constructed Wetlands

摘要 Themainremovalmechanismsforthedegradationsofsevenpollutantsinwastewatertreatmentwetlandswereanalysed,andamathematicalmodelwasestablishedtoquantifytheremovalofeachpollutant,basedonitsmainremovalmechanisms.Subsurfacehorizontalflowwetlandsweretreatedasaseriesofcontinuousstirred-tankreactors(CSTRs).Kineticmodelsfortheremovalofbiochemicaloxygendemand,chemicaloxygendemand,ammonia,totalnitrogenandfaecalcoliformswereestablishedbycombiningMonodorfirst-orderkineticswithCSTRassumptions.Thesetentativemodelsaccountforawiderangeoffactorsthataffectwetlandperformance,butthemodelshavenotbeenprovenbyexperimentdata.Dependingonthederivationofvariouscoefficientsinthemodelsandverificationbyactualperformancedata,thisstudymayprovideastartingpointforanintegratedpollutantremovalmodeltobedeveloped,andexperimentallyverified,therebymakingastepforwardfromthecurrentgreenbox'approachofwetlanddesign.
