ThispaperexaminesthetertiaryteachingEnglishasaforeignlanguage(TTEFL)inChina.TheauthorfirstreviewscurrentliteratureonhowtoimproveChina’sTIEFLandthenpresentshisownperspectiveandsuggestionsforTTEFL’simprovementfocusingonadjustmentofteachinggoals,teacherimprovementandteacherqualitycontrol,learners’initiatives,languagelearningenvironment,assessmentpractice,andclassroomteachingpractice.
