摘要 Inordertoensurethehighestsafetyrequirements,nuclearpowerplantstructures(thecontainmentstructures,thefuelstoragesandtransportationsystems)shouldbeassessedagainstallpossibleinternalandexternalimpactthreats.Theinternalimpactthreatsincludekineticmissilesgeneratedbythefailureofhighpressurevesselsandpipes,thefailureofhighspeedrotatingmachineriesandaccidentaldrops.Theexternalimpactthreatsmaycomefromairbornemissiles,aircraftimpact,explosionblastandfragments.Theimpacteffectsofthesethreatsonconcreteandsteelstructuresinanuclearpowerplantarediscussed.Methodsandproceduresfortheimpactassessmentofnuclearpowerplantsareintroduced.Recentstudiesonpenetrationandperforationmechanicsaswellasprogressesondynamicpropertiesofconcrete-likematerialsarepresentedtoincreasetheunderstandingoftheimpacteffectsonconcretecontainmentstructures.
