摘要
Imagesegmentation,asabasicbuildingblockformanyhigh-levelimageanalysisproblems,hasattractedmanyresearchattentionsoveryears.Existingapproaches,however,aremainlyfocusingontheclusteringanalysisinthesinglechannelinformation,i.e.,eitherincolororspatialspace,whichmayleadtounsatisfactorysegmentationperformance.Consideringthespatialandcolorspacesjointly,thispaperproposesanewhierarchicalimagesegmentationalgorithm,whichalternatelyclusterstheimageregionsincolorandspatialspacesinafinetocoarsemanner.Withoutlosingtheperceptualconsistence,theproposedalgorithmachievesthesegmentationresultusingonlyveryfewnumberofcolorsaccordingtouserspecification.
