Study on the interaction of anticancer drug mitoxantrone with DNA by fluorescence and Raman spectroscopies-中国期刊网

摘要 Mitoxantrone,aclinicallyusefulantitumourantibioticforleukaemiaandbreastcancer,hasreceivedmoreattentions.Inthispaper,theinteractionbetweenmitoxantroneandcalfthymusDNAisinvestigatedbyRamanandfluorescencespectroscopies,andthebindingsiteofmitoxantronetocalfthymusDNAisexplored.TheresultsshowedthatmitoxantroneinteractswithcalfthymusDNAbasesbytheintercalationofanthracyclineintothebasepairplaneofadenine(A)andthymine(T),anditresultsinthedisruptionofthehydrogenbondsbetweencalfthymusDNAbases,andthusthecalfthymusDNAdouble-strandcanbedisruptedintotheB-formDNAdouble-strandsegments.
