摘要 Weplantoestimateglobalnetprimaryproduction(NPP)ofvegetationusingtheAdvancedEarthObservingSatellite-Ⅱ(ADEOS-Ⅱ)GlobalImager(GLI)multi-spectraldata.WederiveanNPPestimationalgorithmfromgroundmeasurementdataontemperateplantsinJapan.Bythealgorithm,weestimateNPPusingavegetationindexbasedonpatterndecomposition(VIPD)fortheMongolianPlateau.TheVIPDisderivedfromLandsatETM+multi-spectraldata,andtheresultingNPPestimationiscomparedwithgrounddatameasuredinasemi-aridareaofMongolia.TheNPPestimationderivedfromsatelliteremotesensingdataagreeswiththegroundmeasurementdatawithintheerrorrangeof15%whenallabove-groundvegetationNPPiscalculatedfordifferentvegetationclassifications.
