摘要
TheGreekslegends,whichappearedontheParthiancoins,seemtobemeaninglessandconsiderasoneoftheambiguitiesinthehistoryofParthiandynasty.FromthebeginningoffirstcenturyAD,theGreekslegendappearedonParthianCoinsarevagueandonlyseemtobesymbolic.BytheinvasionofSakastothenorthofIranwhichledtoextinctionofthegoverningoftheGreeksinBactriaandpushedthembacktothenorthIndia,RomansfinallysucceededtoaddtheSeleucidasapartoftheirterritory,andleftthetradersinSeluciaandBabyloniainthewestandMargianaandBactriaontheeastunderdominationoflocalsratherthantheGreeks.InthisarticlewearetoinvestigateofdeclineofGreeksinBactriaanditsrelationtomeaninglessGreeklegendsonParthiancoins.
