Designing of highly selective and high-temperature endurable RWGS heterogeneous catalysts: recent advances and the future directions

摘要 Reversewatergasshift(RWGS)reactioncanbeservedasapivotalstageoftransitioningtheabundantCO2resourceintochemicalsorhydrocarbonfuels,whichisattractivefortheCO2utilizationandofeventuallysignificanceinenablingarebuiltecologicalsystemforunconventionalfuels.Thisconceptisappealingwhentheprocessisconsideredasasolutionforthestorageofrenewableenergy,whichmayalsofindavarietyofpotentialendusesfortheouterspaceexploration.However,abigchallengetothisissueistherationaldesignofhightemperatureendurableRWGScatalystswithdesirableCOproductselectivity.Inthiswork,wepresentacomprehensiveoverviewofrecentpublicationsonthisresearchtopic,mainlyfocusingonthecatalyticperformanceofRWGSreactionoverthreemajorkindsofheterogeneouscatalysts,includingsupportedmetalcatalysts,mixedoxidecatalystsandtransitionmetalcarbides.Thereactionthermodynamicanalysis,kineticsandmechanismsarealsodescribedindetail.Thepresentreviewattemptstoprovideageneralguidelineabouttheconstructionofwell-performedheterogeneouscatalystsfortheRWGSreaction,aswellasdiscussingthechallengesandfurtherprospectsofthisprocess.
