Toinvestigatethetreatmentofextemalfixatorforunstablepelvicfracture.MethodsTocomparethedifferentresultsin78patientstreatmentwithandwithoutextemalfixator.ResultsIn38casestreatedwithoutextemalfixatorthehypovolumeshockcureratewas76%,theaveragebloodtransfusionratewas3800ml,theaverageISSscore11.6.In40casestreatedbyextemalfixatorthehypovolumshockcureratewas90%,theaveragebledtransfusionratewas2100ml,theaverageISSscore9.8.ConclusionThetreatmentforunstablepelvicfracturewithexternalfixatoryissimpleandrelible,whichmayreducethebloodlossratesignificantly.
