摘要 Withthedevelopmentofscienceandtechnology,largequantitiesofneologismsarecreated.Neologismsaretheresultofpeople’sconceptualizationofnewthingsbasedontheirlifeexperiences.Cognitivelinguisticsviewsthatcategorizationoforganismsandconcreteobjectsarebasedontheprototypecategory.Thispapertakes167EnglishNeologismsfromWordspyin2015asthedataforanalysisandfindsthattheseEnglishNeologismsarecharacterizedbyfamilyresemblances,degreeofmembershipincategoryandboundaryfuzzinessfromtheviewofprototypecategorytheory.ThisstudyalsohassomeimplicationsfortheresearchofEnglishlanguageteachingandlearning.
