Generation and measurement of arbitrary four-dimensional spatial entanglement between photons in multicore fibers

摘要 High-dimensionalentanglementisavaluableresourceforsecureandefficientquantuminformationprocessing.Amajorchallengeforpracticaluseofmultidimensionalquantumsystemsistheestablishmentofcontrolsoverarbitrarysuperpositionstatesinrealisticconditions.Thisworkdemonstratesspatiallyentangledphotonpairspropagatingthroughtwoseparatefour-coreopticalfiberswiththeamplitudesandphasesofthesuperpositionbeingindependentlycontrollable.Usingquantumstateanalyzersthatcandetectarbitrarymulticoresuperpositionstates,Bell-typeCGLMPinequalitiesintwo,three,andfourdimensionsaredirectlytested.Enhancedviolationoftheinequalitybyslightnonmaximalityofentanglementisalsodemonstrated.
