摘要
Thevolumesperoxygenofsomesilicatemeltshavebeencalculatedandthencomparedwiththoseofsilicateglasses.Itissuggestedthatthevolumeofasilicatemeltcanbedividedintotwoparts.Oneiscontributedbythesilicon-oxygennetworkandtheotherbythe“oxides”.VariationpatternsofVPOssuggestthatthevolumeoftheSi-Onetworkgenerallyremainsunchangedandtheexpansionofthemeltiscausedmainlybythelocatexpansionofthe“oxides”.ItisfurtherproposedthattheradiusofO^2-showslittlevariation,instrikingcontrasttotheradiusofcations.Themechanismgoverningtheexpansionisdiscussedindetail.
