摘要 SurvivabilityisoneoftheimportantissuesinATM-basednetworkssineevenasinglenetworkelementfailuremaycauseaseriousdataloss.Thispaperintroducesanewrestorationmechanismbasedonmulti-layerATMsurvivablenetworkmanagementarchitecture.ThismechanismintegratesthegeneralcontrolandrestorationcontrolbyestablishingtheWorkingVPslogicalnetwork,BackupVPslogicalnetworkandsparelogicalnetworkinordertooptimallyutilizethenetworkresourceswhilemaintainingtherestorationrequirements.
