Sm-NdandRb-Srwhole-rockisochrondatingofthesamplesofcumulatedgabbro,diabaseandandesiticporphyritefromtheArmantaiophiolite,Xinjiang,yieldedtheagesof561±41(Ma(εNd(t)=6.1)and392±17Ma(87Sr/86Sr)i=0.7041],whichstandfortheagesofcreationandlatermetamorphismoftheophiolites,respectively,ThecreationenvironmentoftheArmantaiophiolitesseemstoaback-arcbasincausedbythesouthwardsubductionofthetheArmantaiophiloitesseemstoaback-arcbasincausedbythesouthwardsubductionofthepalaeo-AsiaOcean.
