摘要
Helixunwindinginferroelectricliquidcrystalsinducedbyanelectricfieldistheoreticallystudiedonthebasisofthecontinuumtheory.Byapplyingaweakelectricfieldtiltedtothesmecticlayers,thecontributionofthedielectricinteractionenergydensitytothetotalfreeenergydensityisincreased.Approximationmethodsareusedtocalculatethefreeenergyfordifferenttiltanglesbetweentheelectricfieldandthesmecticlayers.Theobtainedresultssuggestselectingtheoptimalnumberofpitchesinthefilmthatmatchestotheminimumofthefreeenergy.
