Efficient Array Coding Scheme for Large-Scale Storage Systems-中国期刊网

摘要 Afamilyofarraycodeswithamaximumdistanceseparable(MDS)property,namedLcodes,isproposed.ThegreateststrengthofLcodesisthatthenumberofrows(columns)inadiskarraydoesnotberestrictedbytheprimenumber,andmorediskscanbedynamicallyappendedinarunningstoragesystem.Lcodescantolerateatleasttwodiskerasuresandsomesectorlosssimultaneously,andcantoleratemultiplediskerasures(greaterthanorequaltothree)underacertaincondition.BecauseonlyXORoperationsareneededintheprocessofencodinganddecoding,LcodeshaveveryhighcomputingefficiencywhichisroughlyequivalenttoXcodes.AnalysisshowsthatLcodesareparticularlysuitableforlarge-scalestoragesystems.
