摘要 Wedescribethedesignoffourornithoptersranginginwingspanfrom10cmto40cm,andinweightfrom5gto45g.Thecontrollabilityandpowersupplyaretwomajorconsiderations,sowecomparetheefficiencyandcharacteristicsbetweendif-ferenttypesofsubsystemssuchasgearboxandtailshape.Ourcurrentornithopterisradio-controlledwithinbuiltvisualsensingandcapableoftakeoffandlanding.Wealsoconcentrateonitswingefficiencybasedondesigninspiredbyarealinsectwingandconsiderthataspectsofinsectflightsuchasdelayedstallandwakecaptureareessentialatsuchsmallsize.Mostimportantly,theadvanceratio,controlledeitherbyenlargingthewingbeatamplitudeorraisingthewingbeatfrequency,isthemostsignificantfactorinanornithopterwhichmimicsaninsect.
