摘要
Themediumaccesscontrol(MAC)protocolforindoorvisiblelightcommunication(VLC)withenergyharvestingisexploredinthispaper.Theunfairnessofthroughputexistsamongdevicesduetothesignificantdifferenceoftheirenergyharvestingrateswhichchangeswithdistance,acceptanceangleandtheobstructionprobability.Weproposeanenergyharvestingmodel,anewobstructionprobabilitymodelandanenergyadaptivecontentionalgorithmtoovercometheunfairnessproblem.Thisdevicecanadjustitscontentionwindowaccordingtotheenergyharvestingrate.Asaresult,thedevicewithlowerenergyharvestingratecangetshortercontentionwindowtoimproveitstransmissionopportunity.SimulationresultsshowthatourMACprotocolcanachieveahigherdegreeoffairness.
