摘要
Anovelopticalinstrumentationsystemforflamecharacterizationwasdevelopedandtested.Thetwo-colorsystemiscapableofperformingon-linemeasurementofflameandtemperaturedistribution,providingtemporalandspatialcharacterizationofthecombustionprocess.Inaddition,thesystemhastheadvantageofbeingnon-intrusive.Theon-linemeasurementoftemperaturedistributiononamethane-aircombustorrevealedsomeinterestingcharacteristics.Whenairflowratewaskeptconstant,anincreaseinCH4flowratewouldenhancethecombustionintensityandelevatetheflametemperature.WhileunderconstantCH4flowrate,theincreaseofairflowratewouldleadthemeasuredflametemperaturefirsttoincreaseandthendecrease.Thedropoftemperaturemightpartiallybecausedbytheheatlossesduetoexcessiveair.However,withinsufficientsootparticlesintheflame,thetemperaturecouldbeunder-evaluated.
